Alien Rumors in Linda M. Howe’s Video: Fact Check

Summary: A video interview with Linda Moulton Howe has spread many shocking claims about secret programs involving aliens and agreements with world leaders. However, verification from official reports shows no clear evidence to confirm these claims – according to a Pentagon report (2024), no trace of extraterrestrial technology or life has been found.

In the YouTube video, Howe asks: “The real cost of contact with extraterrestrial civilizations may be higher than imagined” (around 00:20), then goes on to discuss rumors of “secret programs” and “secret meetings” between world leaders and aliens. For example, she mentioned President Jimmy Carter’s claim of seeing an unidentified flying object (UFO) in 1969. In reality, Carter did submit a report documenting this UFO sighting, but there is no official documentation showing he had contact with extraterrestrials or knew any “horrifying truth.” Carter initially promised to declassify information about UFOs but later retracted his commitment, citing security concerns. Other claims in the video, such as “aliens only come to America” or “demand gold, niobium, and even slaves,” completely lack scientific evidence and are conspiracy theories.

Conversely, the US government maintains it has never detected extraterrestrial beings. The latest 2024 Pentagon report concludes there is “no evidence” that any UFOs are a sign of extraterrestrial life, and most investigated events are “ordinary objects and misunderstandings.” Similarly, U.S. military officials have repeatedly stated that UFO sightings can be explained by balloons, satellites, or conventional flight technology. To date, any claims about “fees to be paid” or requests from extraterrestrials lack verifiable evidence. In summary, Howe’s statements in the video are not based on reliable sources and largely contradict official reports from military-scientific authorities.
