In a 2023 Redacted podcast, he then claimed that the U.S. government has known for a long time, possibly since the 1930s, that UFOs or non-human entities are real. According to him, historical records, writings, and art show humans have been encountering these beings for centuries.
Carlson argued that some presidents and officials deliberately kept this information secret, supposedly to prevent public panic. While he once thought this reasoning was mere excuse-making, he now admits he partly understands it: the truth might indeed be so shocking and dark that sharing it could cause distress.
