This Man, a government contractor in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has gone missing and is the tenth person connected secret U.S. space and nuclear work.
Steven Garcia, a 48‑year‑old government contractor in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has gone missing, and he is the tenth person connected to US nuclear or space secrets.

Garcia vanished on August 28, 2025, after leaving his home on foot wearing a green camouflage shirt and shorts, carrying only a handgun and a bottle of water, and leaving behind his phone, keys, wallet and car.
Police said he might be a danger to himself, but an anonymous source who knew him told the Daily Mail he was very stable and not suicidal. This source believes the most likely explanation is that Garcia was targeted by foreign spies.
According to the Daily Mail’s source, Garcia worked as a contractor at the Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) facility in Albuquerque, which makes more than 80 percent of the non‑nuclear parts used in US nuclear weapons.
He supposedly served as a property custodian in a very high‑level role overseeing tens or hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of equipment, some classified and some not, and he had top‑level security clearance and broad access to the site’s secrets.
After he disappeared, KCNSC reportedly searched his work computers, emails and files but found no clues. The Daily Mail says it asked KCNSC and the US Department of Energy to confirm his position and comment on the case, but they did not respond.
