A Puerto Rican woman recounts a series of experiences she and her family lived through:
(This case is noteworthy because it is a contemporary account, occurring between 2005 and 2008, involving a family residing in Aguada, Puerto Rico).
The story was made public by Puerto Rican Maria Rivera, who stated that she, along with her husband Nelson and children, experienced a sequence of events that included UFO sightings, encounters with extraterrestrial beings, episodes of lost time, possible abductions, and unexplained phenomena in and around their home.
It all began in the early morning of November 10, 2005, around 3 a.m. Maria and her daughter were awakened by an intense buzzing sound, described as similar to that of a hurricane passing over the house. Looking out the window, they observed a silvery disc-shaped object, enveloped by a blue-green aura, slowly descending towards the forest located behind the property.
Months later, on April 28, 2006, the most striking episode occurred. After hearing the same buzzing again, Maria found her dog, Dora, lying on her back and apparently unconscious in the backyard. Looking towards the fence that separated the property from the woods, she saw two small humanoid creatures about a meter tall, with light gray skin, large heads, almond-shaped black eyes, extremely thin arms, and practically no facial features other than small nostrils and a narrow opening in place of a mouth.
According to her account, the beings remained motionless, observing her while she felt an intense telepathic communication. One of them mentally demanded that she open the back door. Maria claims that she resisted, but began to feel very sleepy and completely lost consciousness. The next morning, she woke up with no memory of what had happened. Her husband found the back door open, while her daughter said that, during part of the night, her mother simply wasn’t in bed, raising the suspicion that something might have happened during the “lost time” period.
In the following days, Maria noticed the appearance of a strange circular mark on one of her hands, accompanied by a strong burning sensation. At the same time, her dog Dora went several days without eating or drinking, exhibiting completely different behavior than usual.
A few days later, an intense blue-green light illuminated the entire house during the early morning hours. That same night, she and her husband heard a loud impact on the roof, so intense that it made the concrete house shake. Frightened, the family remained hidden inside the bedroom until dawn.
Determined to find answers, Maria contacted the Civil Defense of Aguada, reported the case to local authorities, and gave interviews to the press. She also sent reports to ufological research groups inside and outside Puerto Rico, but stated that she never received an investigation that she considered satisfactory.
The events, however, did not cease. In June 2006, Maria claimed to have seen another of the small creatures observing the interior of the house through the front door window. Unlike the previous ones, she described this entity as older, with a mark on its forehead and an extremely menacing expression, which left her deeply terrified.
In the following months, the strange buzzing continued to be heard frequently during the early morning hours. On one occasion, she and her husband went out with flashlights to try to locate the source of the sound, which seemed to come from the forest located behind the residence, but they quickly gave up out of fear.
On February 25, 2007, Maria reported another impressive sighting. According to her, a flying saucer approximately nine meters in diameter remained hovering silently a few meters from the house. Through the windows of the craft, she claimed to be able to see silhouettes of several occupants observing her residence while passing a long object similar to a rod or unknown instrument among themselves. When she woke her husband to film the scene, the object had already disappeared.
The episodes also began to involve other family members. Her daughter Barbie reported seeing bright blue-green lights moving across all the windows of the house, while her son Jonathan stated that an intense beam of green light completely invaded the room where he was sleeping, leaving him so frightened that he refused to stay in that room again.
Shortly afterward, the dog Dora mysteriously disappeared without a trace. Despite the property being fenced and the animal being kept tied up at night, it was never found again. Maria admitted she didn’t know what really happened, but confessed that, given everything she had experienced, she couldn’t rule out any possibility.
